Wines and alcoholic beverages

We are fully licensed. Our wine list is quite short at present, but growing. We also offer other alcoholic beverages. We stock local wine, beer and lager.

Suffolk Food and Drink Awards 2008 and 2010

We made the final three in the competition because so many of our customers voted for us—thank you! The judges then visited and we were declared the winners in September 2010. The judges comments were:

 

‘a hidden gem created with passion !  Food miles are nonexistent it is more food metres as a lot of the ingredients used are grown on site and nothing is wasted.  Nothing was too much trouble for the well informed staff. Selection of food on the menu was fantastic and very affordable, the new chef had created some superb dishes and even drinks including homemade lemonade.  Each dish was unique to the Orchard Room and creativity was in abundance.’

We now offer a seasonal breakfast menu. It is available daily from 9.30am—11.00am

Our Head Chef, Matt Cooke uses his creative flair to create seasonal dishes with our home grown produce. We are delighted to welcome Andrew, who joined us as an Apprentice Chef  in January 2011
